The goal of this roadmap
This 16-page roadmap aims to provide designers with an ultimate checklist of knowledge and resources they need to acquire in order to secure an entry-to-intermediate level job in today's competitive job market.
While this roadmap aims to be comprehensive, it is important to note that the product design and technology field is constantly evolving. New technologies and trends emerge regularly, and it is crucial for designers to stay updated and adaptable to these changes.

Meet the creator
Hello, thanks for checking out this product/UX design roadmap 👋🏻 I'm Janus Tiu, a senior UX designer at Electronic Arts (EA) and a Design Program Lead at Liftyz . After working with over 175 students and mentees in the past 2 years, I've noticed a knowledge gap between design programs and industry expectations when hiring product/UX designers. My mentees have successfully landed internships and entry-to-intermediate design positions at companies like Amazon, Google, Epic Games, RBC, Accenture, the Government of Canada, and many more.
I created this roadmap for my students and mentees. However, I decided to share this roadmap with the design community, hoping it will help designers gain a better understanding of product / UX design and have the skillsets that most hiring managers look for when hiring designers.
I will periodically send you useful newsletters and promotional emails. However, you can opt out of these emails if you dislike my emails.
